Wind Generation Consulting
CES has extensive experience in all aspects of the wind energy sector. Our knowledge comes in part from our wind related development activities. CES partners have been involved in several wind energy generation projects including Beaver Ridge Wind, a 4.5 megawatt (MW), 3-turbine wind project located in Freedom, Maine. Beaver Ridge Wind was formed by Mark Isaacson, Richard Silkman and Andrew Price in 2004.The project achieved commercial operation in November 2008 and was only the second wind project to become operational in Maine and the first in Central Maine Power service territory. BRW provides about 12.5 million kWhs of clean renewable energy into the New England power grid each year. Together with partner Patriot Renewables, CES members continue to be active in the ongoing ownership and operation of Beaver Ridge Wind.
The experience of developing, owning and operating a commercial wind farm allows CES to provide top-notch consulting services in the wind energy sector. CES has leveraged this knowledge base to help end users:
Evaluate the potential financial benefits of wind energy purchases
- Understand the operational logistics associated with the various ways to purchase wind energy
- Negotiate long term power purchase agreements (PPAs) for both electricity and renewable energy credits
