Synopsis of Last Week's Energy Markets

Crude oil was stable last week as the United States and Russia engaged in discussions over the situation in Ukraine. The Labor Department reported positive jobs numbers, and the EIA reported that US crude stocks fell for the first time in eleven weeks. Natural gas fluctuated within a small range and ended the week close to where it had started. Forecasts for the Eastern third of the US called for easing demand for heat, while the EIA storage report continued to bring bullish news.
