CES Market Summary Released for April 17, 2012

Crude oil prices ended the week down slightly as new macroeconomic data suggested that developed and emerging market economies alike are slowing. Weak job creation in the U.S., slowing economic growth in China, and ongoing sovereign debt issues in Europe all combined to pull prices downward. Natural gas futures rose on Monday before falling every day the rest of the week, settling below $2 per million British thermal units for the first time in a decade.
